Homestead Race Party PDF Print E-mail

The final race of the year is upon us.  Almost a shame really, this has been such a fantastic season.  One might say it has been long but really, what is the alternative?  I say lets keep going.  They should extend the season right up to Christmas, take a week off through New Years then bang, testing at Daytona!  What is wrong with that?  But since they dont let us make the rules (yet) we will have to live with the season coming to an end this Sunday night.  Might as well throw a party.

Oh yea, we do.

2007 JNFL Banquet PDF Print E-mail

Thursday, 01 November 2007

Finally, 2007 JNFL Fantasy Banquet tickets are printed, cut and ready for sale.  They are only for members of the JNFL and their guests.  All guests must be approved by the JNFL Headquarters.  The date of the event is Saturday, December 1st.  It is being held at the same location as the last two years, the North Penn Elks Club in Colmar, PA.  Once again you can pick them up in the usual ways.

  1. Go to the Indian Valley Inn and ask the bartender for them.  This is the easiest way for most people who live in the area.  The bar is open all day and night with someone on hand to serve you.
  2. Go to the JNFL Headquarters.  Judd has tickets there as well.
  3. Use the U.S. Mail.  Send me the money and I will send you the tickets.  For the address here, please shoot an e-mail to This email address is being protected from spam bots, you need Javascript enabled to view it .  I will hook you up asap.

I am a bit late getting the tickets ready for purchase and for that I am sorry.  At the same time we have almost 1 month to get your own.  Please don't hesitate, get a plan together and get your tickets as soon as possible.  They MUST be purchased in advance.  The Elks needs to know how many people are coming a week in advance so all tickets must be bought before Thanksgiving.

Here is what they cost:

  • Adults - $27
  • Kid's - $6
  • Guests approved by the JNFL - Same as above

As always the cost of the ticket is strictly for the service provided by the Elks club (food, drinks, building, etc).  Awards and prizes will be awarded with movies and music to boot.  Nobody leaves empty handed.  It is your fantasy league and your prizes.  If you don't come it will be given to someone else.  Need any more reason to come?

I personally take a lot of pride in the JNFL Banquet and this year their will be no different.  A team of highly trained JNFL Members have been working all year getting ready for this, you will not be disapointed.

Atlanta Notes PDF Print E-mail

Sunday Morning:  I have updated the First Place and Basement pages - have a look if you so desire.

Saturday Night:  Nice day today, had a chance to get a lot of work done for the JNFL.  The tickets to the Banquet are printed!  I will be cutting them tomorrow and hope to have them available for purchase on Monday.  How cool is that?  Also had a chance to play with the website a little.  Added three new poll questions, feel free to answer them at your leisure.  I also found a 'Search' option for the site and added that.  Type your name in the text box and give it a try.  Sitting here watching the Busch race and I have never, ever, seen so many wrecks and cautions in one race.  They broke the track record at the halfway point.  Gotta laugh.

Saturday Morning:  The field has been set for the Atlanta race and Greg Biffle has himself the pole position.  I just finished going over our driver list and updated the stars (*) next to their names to show who is in the race.  I did not see any major changes to the list except for Jeff Green is not in the race.  Did he lose his ride?  Mark Martin is back behind the wheel of the #01 and former Daytona 500 winner Ward Burton missed the race, much to the displeasure of Rogue Reporter Andy.  Good luck to all of you with your picks and I hope to see you at the Indian Valley Inn for the Poker Tournement.

Martinsville notes PDF Print E-mail

Saturday, 20 October 2007

Monday:  I have just taken the time to double-check the results from the race (as always) and once again I see some changes.  Jeff Gordon and Kyle Busch have both had their point totals adjusted.  Jeff is now showing his correct amount of 175 and Kyle has 165 points.  I also noticed that Carl Edwards and Jeff Burton exchanged positions but their points remained the same.  That was a new one for me.  Hope you did well and we will see you at the JNFL Fantasy Poker Tournement this Sunday at 1pm.

Saturday:  The starting line-up and practices have all been run for the Martinsville race.  I have updated the stars (*) next to the drivers names to show who made the race.  We will be here at the JNFL Headquarters all day tomorrow taking your picks up till the start of the race.  Good luck!
