JNFL Points Update PDF Print E-mail
Written by Judd

JuddJNFL,

This is your President speaking.  I have just completed a massive double check of the points.  It is with great pleasure that I can say the JNFL Chase for the Championship standings following Martinsville are 100% correct.  Nobody in the Chase has made an illegal pick or awarded 'double-points' on accident by the computer.

I personally have been a little worried because of some short-comings with this new system.  This morning I got up early and single-handedly went through every player's season to date and I found no mistakes.  I also took a couple extra minutes and looked over the top-3 in the Lucky Dog standings and found nothing wrong there too.  Plus, I have a base line built that will allow me to catch computer glitches quicker in the future.

I hope you all appreciate knowing that the standings are correct, I know I do.  What is 4 hours of free time among friends?

JuddDear JNFL,

It is with great pleasure that I would like to announce the JNFL headquarters will be moving.  While this should have no bearing on how the JNFL runs, it will however have a great impact on my life.  June and I have bought a house.  While I don't want to get into perticulars here on the web I can say for sure we are extremely excited.  We have been stalking this place for a while now and all of the sudden - bam!  We got it.

Now the work begins.  We have basically a month before we move.  I wanted to take a minute here and let everyone know that this JNFL season should finish out without a hitch.  The JNFL Headquarters will function as normal right through Homestead in the middle of November.  The website will continue to be here for all of our internet users.

All that being said I will be pretty busy from here on out dealing with my private life.  You may have to do a little research on your own to find statistics you might be use to seeing updated early in the week.  While I will do the best I can I already see a drop in my time.  I haven't really sat at the computer at all this week and my weekends are tied up stuffing boxes.

More news coming tomorrow.

Adult standings following Charlotte PDF Print E-mail

Sunday, 12 October 2008

The Adult staningss (Chase & Lucky Dog) are done following Charlotte fall.  Once again I have posted them in the FORUM.  You will find them in the 'JNFL Headquarters' section.  I heard from a handful of people last week who had trouble finding and viewing the standings this way.  Once again, if you are unable to access the standings this way, feel free to call me here at the JNFL Headquarters.  I will help you right away.  Or you can goto the Indian Valley Inn where they will be posted.

I would like to take a minute and congratulate the Davenport's.  We have three of them in the league and all three are leading their current division.  Bill Davenport is atop the Chase standings, Barry Davenport is leading the Lucky Dog and Tia is first in the Kid's division.  That deserves a round of applause!  Way to go!

JNFL Poker Tournement PDF Print E-mail

NY Mike

 Monday night update

(Saturday morning) The 3rd annual JNFL Poker tournement will be held Sunday at noon.  As always this is to benifit the JNFL Kid's League.  Money raised will be used to buy the children awards and prizes to be received at the JNFL Fantasy Banquet.  As you may or may not know the kid's have always played for free so this is a great way to generate a little pot of gold for them.

Personally it is a great excuse to get out a play some poker with your friends.  If you like to play poker and are a member of the JNFL - or just want to get involved to support the kids, come on out tomorrow and get in on the fun.

The stakes are always small ($20).  We play Texas Hold-em.  Everyone starts out with the same amount of chips and the player with all the chips at the end is the 2008 JNFL Poker Champion.  Last years winner, New York Mike, went on to win the JNFL Championship too.

Hey, it is easy and it is fun.  The stakes are light so nobody has any reason to get uptight.  That keeps things nice and loose - the way it should be.  That being said we have already built up a collection of people who couldn't care about the money - they want the fame.  The 2006 winner Kim Kaelin still smiles ear-to-ear when she is reminded of her win in the first tournement.

For question feel free to call the JNFL Headquarters or shoot me an e-mail to This email address is being protected from spam bots, you need Javascript enabled to view it .  I'd say goto the FORUM and pose your questions there but that would asking too much.

Monday, 06 October 2008

JuddThe JNFL standings for all adults has been moved to the Forum.  I have been having a lot of trouble posting my work in an article form here in the website.  The tables mess up the entire structure of the frontpage.  While forcing everyone to login and goto the Forum may seem like an inconvience to some, I have spent my entire Monday evening trying to put this list together.

To view the 'Chase for the Championship' or the 'Lucky Dog' standings following Talladega:

  1. You must Login (Username & Password area down the left side of homepage)
  2. You must enter the JNFL Forum (Link is located top-right on every page)
  3. Goto the "JNFL Headquarters" section (Click)
  4. Click on the appropriate links to view the standings.
  5. The very first post, located at the bottom, has a hyperlink you need to click to view the standings.  They should view abd pring really nice there.

JNFL members who can not login to the website or for whatever reason have trouble viewing the standings should contact me immediately or head to the Induian Valley Inn   They are posted there like they have been for the past 10 years.
