Rogue's JNFL 10 Year Look Back PDF Print E-mail
Written by Rogue Reporter Founding Father Andy
Monday, 16 June 2008

Hello all you JNFL League Team Owners. I decided to take some time and look back into my JNFL Vault and dug up some old but great stuff from our 10 years past. I will be putting things up through the rest of the season and trust me when I tell you, I have some great moments captured. If you have any you would like to share, just drop us a line and we will be sure to get the picture posted to the website.

This is a picture of the Rogue's family at Pocono back in 2001. None of the kids look the same anymore. Oh how the time flies when your having fun. As you can see, they are all wearing their JNFL Kids League Autograph shirts. This is one of my favorite shots. Have a safe and happy holiday. Happy Labor Day!

New Track In Millville NJ PDF Print E-mail
Written by Andy
Monday, 16 June 2008

Hi Rogue,

Just wondering if you have heard anything on a supposed Nascar track being built in Millville NJ? I did a search and only found 2 things and it was just NJ folks like me saying it would be a welcome addition to the area. I heard rumblings initially that some people in Millville were opposed to it for the obvious reasons, traffic and noise, but I think it would be great for their economy if anything. Not sure how many people from PA would make the trip there if they added it as a Nascar track. Might be a poll worthy question?

Thanks!

Former JNFL Champion

Dave Mantle

Thanks for the question Dave…Turns out it’s a good one. Here is what I found out.

I did some research and talked with Jayski, a NJ native and several other “Yankees” that have good information in this sport for our area and you are correct. There is a track that is built already and has races scheduled. ARCA will race its road course in August of this year. It is built on the old Millville airport grounds. It is called Thunderbolt raceway on NJMP..(New Jersey Motorsports Park)

Apparently, this is to be a three phase multi-purpose raceway and it has several tracks on the property. I saw most of the plans for the track and I must say that I am really impressed. This will definitely be a one-of-a-kind facility and I believe it has the potential to be the biggest racing complex out there. I hadn’t really heard anything about this place until you asked the question. Here is just some of the info I have gathered…Oh and I found the website that explains it all!!! Kewl…Check this out. http://www.njmotorsportspark.com/index.html

I don’t know if NASCAR will race there though. They still have to get one to Kentucky yet and they have a hard time racing at facilities that they don’t own or control…LOL… Great question Dave and I hope this information helps you out!  Rogue

WANTED - NASCAR Drivers Union? PDF Print E-mail
Written by Rogue Reporter Andy
Saturday, 15 March 2008

rogue.jpgMarch 15, 2008 - The sport of NASCAR racing has long been a dictatorship and the current driver pool is fed up with the strong-arm tactics of the bullies in the sanctioning body at the front office in NASCAR. It has gone unspoken for many years now since the last time someone tried to organize the drivers in this sport, but since the tire issues last week and the strong words and criticisms presented by some of the sports top stars of today, the suggestion of something to help aid the drivers in communicating with NASCAR needs to be put in place and Robin Pemberton isn’t it.

The Mr. Mengel Interview PDF Print E-mail

Rogue Reporter Andy’s “Up on the Bar Stool”

Interview With JNFL Team Member Danny “The Man” Mengel - 1st Place with 2 Wins

dan_mengal_1finger_small.jpgHello everyone, your ole pal Rogue here. I had the distinct pleasure of sitting down with Mr. Mengel last week before the California race and had a brief but informative one on one conversation with the man they call Danny.

We started the conversation like any other would, but I could tell by the deep tone in Danny’s voice that something was bothering him. We chatted about NASCAR in general and the COT but he led right into the JNFL and picking strategy.

It has long been said that to be successful in the JNFL you must have a plan or some kind of strategy. Dan informed me that last year he had several good picks left after the season was over. A Jeff Gordon and two Jimmy Johnson’s is what he said. Then he said that is probably why he finished so close to the toilet.
