Mr. PresidentThis weekend we are back underway at Martinsville Virginia after a nice Easter break.  I hope you enjoyed your free time and used it wisely - it is time to get back to the business at hand - racing.  Personally I really like not having the first break of the season after the second race, as in years past.  That really killed the momentum created by Daytona.  All the same I could go every week all year just the same, but then I don't have to travel to each location.  You cant tell me you wouldn't like to have a race to watch over the holidays instead of college football?

Been working feverishly here since we left the last race at Bristol.  My pick of Clint Bowyer ran well and finished third but my computer did not fare as well.  The computer, God bless it, has finally decided that enough is enough, something must be done.  So I went and did something.

Before I can fix the fact that my computer is running really poorly, I had to back it up.  I'll be darned if it didn't take the entire Easter weekend (Friday at noon till Monday afternoon) to copy and paste 10 years of JNFL memories onto an external hard drive.  Was a long time but as it went along I checked in on it to see the names of all the pictures, races and songs I have downloaded since we started in 1999.  Really stirred up some great memories.

So as it stands right now my computer is unplugged and sitting on the floor over there.  Hopefully within the next week or two I will have it apart, cleaned and refurbished to handle the demands that the JNFL ask of it.  Cant help that I smoked for the first 9 years, looking at the tower I can quickly see a healthy layer of dirt inside.  NO MORE!  I am tired of point, click and wait.  I like point click and get work done much better.

(If Billy reads this, please call the JNFL Headquarters)

In the mean time I have acquired a new laptop that kicks butt.  As of right now I have access to every tool needed to continue to run the JNFL.  It looks like we also will be able to update the site live from the race track now so stay tuned for that.

Tomorrow I have another meeting with Greg.  We will be releasing a new set of tools for us to track stats.  That will include comparing you to your fellow JNFL Members, to yourself and also look at the stats we create for the Nascar drivers.  The option to upload a picture to 'Your Page' will be available too.  There is more talk on the horizon about how we can allow new people to join and building a process for the public to play.  All of that will further along the fun we are currently are having - especially if everyone we know is allowed tp join in on the fun.
