Sunday Update: It is clearly raining in Dover and the start might be pushed to Monday. That would stink because I will not be able to watch the race as I will be at work. Hopefully my radio will pick up the signal well enough for me to stay informed. With the new system for taking picks I adjusted the rules pertaining to rain delays. This year I am allowing picks to be made all the way through till when the race finally does start. That could get tricky but I believe I will have access to a computer that I can roll the light over to Red.
So in closing, good luck to all of you with your picks and take all the time you need to make them. Nascar comes home to Dover this weekend then Pocono the next. Nice time of the year to be living here in the tri-state area. Is anyone going to the race on Sunday? We had some plans for Pocono but they had to be scrapped, for good reason, but we were looking forward to a trip to the track. The Nextel Cup drivers will take to the track Saturday for a morning practice at 10am and Happy Hour is actually 60 minutes long starting at 1:20pm. They are driving the new car and it looks like Michael Waltrip actually made the race (pause, look out the window, no pigs flying, okay). Special thanks to Ryan Newman for stealing a pole from Dale, like he needs another one. Pretty funny to see them trading barbs when Ryan stepped out of the car. Good luck to all with your picks. If you do head to the race, please take a few pictures of yourself with the track in the background. They make for the best JNFL pictures. Speaking of which I have a handful of shots to put up on the Picture Page. Hopefully this weekend will be the start of a doubled effort to continue the growth of our website. Stay tuned. |
